The map depicts the two possible construction sites for a new shopping complex in the city of Brandfield. The main difference between two sites is that the first site is near a residential area, while the other is close to an industrial zone.
The first site (S1) is located to the north of the city between the residential area and the city centre. There are three infrastructure features (a river, a main road and a railway) around the mal. Therefore, if a shopping mall is built in that area, these transports could provide easy access from most parts of the city.
The second site (S2) lies to the south-east end of the city and is fairly close to the downtown as well as the industrial zone. Even though, the site is near two main roads and the railroad there is no residential part around this area.
Additionally, there is a fairly large Golf Course and a park west of the city, but both construction sites are not close to it.

The map illustrates Brandfield city plan and two possible sites, labelled as S1 and S2, of a new shopping mall.
When comparing both locations the most striking difference is that the first site is close to a residential area, while S2 is near an industrial zone
The first site, S1 is located in the north, close to the City Centre. The railroad passes between the city center and site compromising its south border. The river running through the city center from a north to the south direction, covers the south border of S1. A possible advantage of S1 is its proximity to the residencies, located west of S1. Additionally, the main road passes the north of the planned shopping mall area, S1, where it intersects with the river.
Next, the second possible area S2 is located more outside of the residential areas compared to S1.It is situated just close to the south east edge of the city. It holds the advantage of proximity to the transport systems, the main road located on the west and the railroad on the north east of the S2. Moreover, an industrial zone is also located on the north east of the S2.

The map shows two potential locations (S1 and S2) for a new shopping mall in Brandfield. Overall, S1 is in the north of the city, while the other is located in the south-east. The proposed site S1 has the advantage of proximity to the housing estate and the city centre.
Site S1 is situated between the housing state and the city centre, meaning that the mall will be within easy reach of a large number of potential customers. Furthermore, a pre-existing road and railway line already pass near the planned region.
While a golf course and park occupies the west of Brandfield, and a river passes through the city centre, neither of these features affect the proposed sites. Although S2 is also conveniently situated near the city centre, it borders on an industrial estate. However, there are two connecting roads and a railway providing accessibility to this zone, still it is relatively far from the housing area.

The map illustrates plans for two possible sites for a shopping centre in the city of Brandfield.
It can be seen that the two sites (S1, S2) under consideration are in the north (S1) and the south east of the town (S2).Additionally, S1 is close to a residential area, while S2 is just south of an industrial zone.
The first possible site for the shopping mall, S1, is just north of the city centre, above the railway line, running from the south east of the city to the north west. If it is built here, it will be next to a large residential area, providing easy access for those living there and in the city centre. It will also be next to the river, which runs through the town.
While, The site in the south east (S2) is again just by the railway line and fairly close to the city centre, it is near to an industrial estate rather than housing. As for the main road that runs through the city, it is close to both sites, thus providing good road access to either location. Finally,a large golf course and park in the west of the town prevents this area from being available as a site.
