General IELTS Writing Task 1/ IELTS Letter:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear…,
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my concern regarding my missing suitcase from my flight with your airline last week. Despite reporting the issue immediately upon arrival and being assured of prompt assistance, I have yet to receive any update on the status of my luggage.
The suitcase in question is a medium-sized, blue Samsonite with a distinctive silver lock. Inside the suitcase were several valuable and irreplaceable items, including my laptop, essential documents, and clothing for a two-week business trip. The loss of these items has caused significant inconvenience and disruption to my plans.
Given the urgency of this matter, I kindly request that you provide an update on the status of my suitcase. I would also like to know what steps your airline is taking to locate and return my luggage as soon as possible. Additionally, please inform me of the compensation process for the items lost if my suitcase cannot be found.
I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your swift response.
Yours faithfully,
