General IELTS Writing Task 1/ IELTS Letter:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear…,
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request a room change for the upcoming term. Currently, I am sharing a room with another student in our college accommodation, and I find it extremely difficult to study and concentrate due to my roommate’s frequent social activities.
My roommate often invites friends over, and they have loud gatherings in our room, which significantly disrupts my ability to focus on my studies. Additionally, there have been several instances where my roommate has borrowed my personal belongings without asking for my permission, which I find quite unsettling.
Given these circumstances, I believe that moving to a single room would greatly enhance my academic performance and overall well-being. Having a quiet and private space is crucial for me to maintain a proper study schedule and ensure that my personal belongings are respected.
I would appreciate it if you could consider my request for a single room for the next term. I understand that room allocations are subject to availability, but I hope my situation can be given special consideration.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your positive response.
Yours faithfully,
