Model Example Answer
Dear Neighbours,
I am writing in response to your recent complaint regarding the noise from my flat. Please accept my sincere apologies for any disturbance this may have caused.
The recent noise was due to some extensive renovations we are undertaking. We had to replace the old flooring, which involved a considerable amount of drilling and hammering. I understand how disruptive this can be, especially if it’s occurring during your quiet hours. I assure you, it was never my intention to cause you any inconvenience.
To address the issue, I have taken immediate steps to minimise the disturbance. Firstly, I have instructed the contractors to work only between 9 AM and 5 PM to ensure that the noise occurs during reasonable hours. Additionally, I have asked them to use quieter techniques where possible and to keep the noise levels to a minimum.
Once again, I am truly sorry for the trouble this has caused. I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. Should you have any further concerns or suggestions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
