General IELTS Writing Task 1/ IELTS Letter:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear…,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my frustration regarding a new mobile phone I purchased from your company. My name is Rosie, and I bought a Nokia3145 phone from your store on July 10th.
Unfortunately, within just a few days, the phone stopped working. It would not turn on despite being fully charged, and the screen remained completely unresponsive. I contacted your customer service representative a week ago, who assured me that the issue would be resolved promptly. However, as of today, the phone has still not been repaired, and I have not received any updates on the status of my request.
Given the significant inconvenience this has caused, I would like to request either a replacement phone or a full refund. I rely heavily on my mobile phone for both personal and professional use, and this delay has been exceedingly disruptive. Please address this issue immediately to restore my confidence in your company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Yours faithfully,
