General IELTS Writing Task 1/ IELTS Letter:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear…,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received at your computer store. Last week, I brought in my laptop for repair due to a persistent issue with the screen flickering.
While the technician assured me that the problem had been resolved, I was disappointed to find that the issue persisted when I got home. Not only did the screen continue to flicker, but the laptop also began overheating, which was not a problem before the repair. Additionally, the customer service I experienced was far from satisfactory. The staff were rather unhelpful and did not provide clear explanations about the repair process or the expected outcome.
Given these circumstances, I request that you take immediate action to rectify these problems. I would like a thorough re-examination of my laptop and a proper repair at no additional cost. Furthermore, I suggest that your staff receive additional training in customer service to prevent such experiences in the future.
I hope you understand my frustration and will address these concerns promptly.
Yours faithfully,
