I’ve always been a TV person, since I was a kid I’ve always watched a lot of TV. Back then there weren’t a lot of different forms of entertainment, internet hadn’t been invented yet and computers were too expensive to buy for a child, so apart from playing these were the 2 only options. 

I think I watched a lot of TV because I’m dyslectic. Throughout my childhood I had tremendous difficulty reading and writing and I even had to go to special classes. So, reading wasn’t a lot of fun for me. I really had a hard time continuing with books. I’d start a book, but most of the time never finish it. Only a real page-turner could capture my attention and sadly enough there weren’t many of those. So, Tv was the easy option.

Around that time they were also starting with children TV, so there were things to see in the evenings after school or at the weekend in the mornings. 

TV was just easier and more comfortable. I could experience the same fantasy words without having any difficulty accessing them. It wasn’t a challenge to just sit there, watch and listen. So, I guess that’s why I’m more a TV person than a bookworm.
