In the past, I had a lot of hobbies but I just couldn’t stick with them for too long. There’s only one hobby that I’ve liked since I was a kid. I can say it’s cooking. I think I like it maybe because I was inspired by my mother. she always cooks a lot of delicious food for her family and I want to cook as well as her. Besides, I like to eat delicious food and like to make it myself. From a young age, my mother taught me to cook. She taught me how to choose fresh food, how to prepare food. Moreover, she also taught me a lot of recipes. Another thing I learned from my mother is probably how to keep food fresh. At the weekend, I usually cook dinner for my family because this is my free time. On the weekend I will cook a new dish I learned on youtube for my family to taste. Sometimes I also cook and then invite friends over to taste them. Today, I can confidently cook without my mother’s help. I think cooking is one of the skills needed in life. When you go to school away from home, you can’t always go out to eat at the restaurant or eat fastfood. It’s really not good for health. and I also learned a lot of ways to not waste food. In my free time, I usually cook. it’s perfect way to relax and cheers me up when i’m feeling down. Well that’s it from me. Thanks very much.
Dear d.yth,
Thanks for your comment and trying to practice speaking Part2. You always have 1 minute to prepare and then you need to talk for 2 minutes, which during the exam seems like a very long time.
Looking at your reply, I think you can upgrade your language a bit more and especially avoid repetition. For example: Like: there are many synonyms you can use which show higher language: https://www.wordhippo.com/what-is/another-word-for/like.html
Then add some intensifiers or grading adverbs in front of them: I am generally fond of cooking: https://ozdic.com/collocation/fond
try to use also some pronouns to avoid repetition: family/ family: they
I think these are the 2 major things you can do to easily get a better score.
Good luck and if you need anymore help just let me know or write some more comments.
